Alex Olympidis is the President of Operations for the Family Express Corporation in Valparaiso, Indiana.
A vertically integrated chain of over 80 convenience stores and fueling centers, and through a unique logistics model and proprietary branding, Family Express has grown to serve over thirty communities in Indiana today.
In 2015 Family Express was named international Chain of the Year by Convenience Store Decisions.
Family Express is known for its “Living Brand” – the associates who greet each and every customer with a friendly smile also are among the most statistically productive labor force known in the convenience store industry using standard metrics. “A brand is nothing more than a promise, and the Living Brand upholds our most important promises” said Alex.
In addition to his role in Operations at Family Express, Alex leads the Human Resource Department. Family Express screens upwards of fifty applicants to make one hire statistically; Alex believes that a rigorous hiring process is one reason for the low turnover at Family Express, especially among Store Managers.
Alex is the incoming Chairman of the Chicagoland Chapter of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) and serves on the Board of the Valparaiso Parks Foundation. Alex is a graduate of Butler University and earned his MBA from Valparaiso University.
